Abstract

with respect to the technical and technological advancement of nursing, nurses are required to expand their positions through society’s health services to various stages by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. This study aimed to examine the relation between entrepreneurship and work innovation among nurse managers. A descriptive correlational research design was applied in the current study. The study was carried out at Port Said seven governmental hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health and recently most of them affiliated to Comprehensive Health Insurance. The sample size was 101 nurse managers. Two tools were used in the study namely, the characteristics of entrepreneurship questionnaire and work innovation questionnaire. Results showed that above half of nurse managers haven’t entrepreneurial characteristics (52.5%) and above half (52.5%) haven’t work innovation. Conclusion: There was a statistically significant positive correlation between nurse managers’ characteristics of entrepreneurship and work innovation. Recommendations: The nurse managers must attend conferences, workshops and training programs about entrepreneurship and work innovation.
