المستخلص The research aims to identify The relationship between mothers ’self-management skills, and both socio-emotional behavior and academic achievement among deaf Pupils in preparatory stage.The research sample consisted in its final form of 195 deaf pupils in the preparatory stage, using Mothers Self-management skills scale,Social emotional behavior scale for deaf students, Preparatory stage academic achievement tests in mathematics. The results of the study showed that The first hypothesis was realized that there was a relationship between self-management skills for mothers, and both the socio-emotional behavior and the academic achievement of deaf Pupils in preparatory stage,The second hypothesis was realized that there were differences between married and unmarried mothers in the mean scores of self-management skills, socio-emotional behavior, and academic achievement among deaf Pupils in preparatory stage, where the differences were in favor of married women,The third hypothesis related to the existence of differences between working and non-working mothers in the mean scores of self-management skills, socio-emotional behavior, and academic achievement among deaf Pupils in preparatory stage, as the value of ”t” did not find any differences between working and non-working mothers. The fifth hypothesis was realized with the possibility of predicting both the social-emotional behavior and the academic achievement of deaf sons through the dimensions of the self-management skills scale for mothers where it was possible to predict an equation for the dimensions of both social-emotional behavior and academic achievement in terms of self-management skills. |
