Abstract Cesarean section (C-section) is the most frequent surgical procedure in obstetrics and gynecology. It is the route of delivery in∼30% of live births. As C-section deliveries frequency rises all over the world, and although it has become safer than before, it is still associated with higher maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity than vaginal deliveries. This higher mortality and morbidity rates are not only because of the surgical procedure but also related are to the anesthesia used. |
