Abstract Since the Pharaonic and Ptolemaic eras, underground excavations (down to 40 m in the northwest corner of the Rodruin area(at latitude 26 21’59’’N and longitude 2033’32’’E; presently in the northern Golden Triangle of the Egyptian Eastern Desert) have been used to mine some gold-bearing quartz veins. Recently in December 2017, using spectral imaging and remote sensing techniques, a team from Canadian company Aton Resources Co. rediscovered the area’s mineralization zones. The thesis focuses on geological-geochemical exploration and the development of a genetic model for gold-base metals in gossan deposits in the Rodruin prospecting area, with the goal of producing an ore deposit model in the area to determine the spread of hidden extensions and the grade of different mineralization zones. |
