Abstract ABSTRACT Field experiments were conducted during 2019 and 2020 seasons on two potato cultivars (Spunta and Hermes) in the farm of the Faculty of Agriculture at Moshtohor, Benha University. Plants were grown during three seasons: two early summer (2019 and 2020) and one autumn (2019 / 2020). Data revealed the presence of two aphid species on potato plants; Myzus persicae and Aphis gossypii. As for predators, the identified species were chrysoperla carnea and four coccinellids; Hippodamia convergens, Coccinella undecimpunctata, Adonia variegata and Cydonia vicina isis. Higher infestation rates by aphids occurred to plants of Spunta than Hermes cultivar, while more predaceous insects were counted on Hermes than Spunta cultivar. Potato plants of the two cultivars were much more infested b |
