This research aimed at the relationship between the prevailing leadership styles and building teams work under shadow of digital transformation, by applying it to the employees of the Dakahlia Governorate Office. The sample size was (226) individuals, and they were randomly distributed to the number of workers. The researcher used a survey list that was prepared for the purpose of collecting data on the research variables, which represent the dominant leadership styles variables (independent variable) and work teams (dependent variable). Multiple regression analysis to verify the validity of the research hypotheses. The researcher reached several results represented in the existence of a significant correlation relationship between the prevailing leadership styles, and team building in light of digital transformation, at the level of significant significance (0.05), and the presence of a significant effect for each of the dimensions of leadership styles on team building when Significance level (0.05). Synopsis Introduction: Organizations need to increase their knowledge about the environment in which they operate, especially under emergency conditions and the era of digital transformation, in order to survive and improve under these circumstances. Extremely important, as the leadership style has emerged as a major contributor to dealing with these changes, especially that leader can affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization and its ability to compete(Ardabili et al., 2016). Leadership also exerts a great influence on the behavior of employees towards their jobs, and with the changing role of leaders in today’s organizations, the success of any organization depends on the leadership style that it exercises. The prosperity of the organization and the increase of its outputs through building creative work teams (Asghar et al.,2017). Leadership styles inspire its followers with long-term visions about the future of the organization, help clarify some tangible goals, motivate them, and help them communicate well with their team. However, there are many leadership styles that differ in their behavior with their subordinates, and consequently their influence on them, and it is not definitive which type of manager may have more influence on his employees (Nawaz et al., 2016). The leadership styles differ among themselves, some of them, such as the transformational leadership style, are based on the fact that it is a source of inspiration for its subordinates through a common vision characterized by positivity towards the future, and an intellectual stimulus for them to look at new angles and overcome the challenges they face in the course of work. An example for his subordinates to follow towards prioritizing the interests of the organization and overriding their personal interests. (Stam et al., 2010) In light of the rapid changes that the world is witnessing in the field of various institutions, and the emergence of modern concepts, such as digital transformation, and in line with these changes, it has become imperative for institutions to keep pace with this development, by adopting a set of modern methods. The work team is an advanced and effective model for participating in decision-making, and has a positive role in solving problems. It works to develop the state of the institution by improving its performance and increasing its effectiveness (Abdul Halim, 2015). First, the research problem: In order to determine the study’s problem and its questions, and in light of the results of previous studies and through the researcher’s observations by virtue of his work in the local administration, the problem of the study can be formulated in “there is a decrease in the level of workers’ awareness of the prevailing leadership styles, a decrease in building effective work teams, and a weak dependence on technology and digital transformation.” Which raises the following questions: a. The first question: What is the nature of the relationship between the prevailing leadership styles and team building in light of the digital transformation in the Dakahlia Governorate General Office? b. The second question: What is the impact of the prevailing leadership styles on building work teams in light of the digital transformation in the Dakahlia Governorate General Office?.
