Abstract This retrospective study was performed to evaluate the impact of body mass index on outcomes of breast cancer management. This study analyzed the hospital records of 250 patients who were diagnosed with non-metastatic breast cancer between 1st of January 2012 to 31st of December 2016 at Clinical Oncology department in Assiut University Hospital. A higher frequency of obesity was detected among breast cancer patients in our study. As 117 (46.8%), 73 (29.2%) and 60 (24%) patients were obese, overweight, and normal BMI respectively. 118 (47.2%) women were pre-menopausal, and 132 (52.8%) patients were post-menopausal. |
