Abstract This research investigated Integrated Project Delivery system IPD and its twelve key principles. A list of eight risk groups consisting of 57 individual risks was developed to measure the effect of using IPD on risk reduction. Under assumption of applying the IPD, the statistical analysis revealed significant anticipated risk reduction was noted for 2Design3 and 2Management3 risks, moderate reduction was recorded for 2Construction3 and 2Contractual3 risk groups, while slight reduction was found for the 2Economic3 and 2Political3 risk groups. A web-based application system was developed named 2IPD- Risk Assessor3 to be as a tool measuring the degree of integration of any construction project based on its contractual terms and conditions. It can calculate the anticipated risk reduction of any construction project. It can calculate the monetary values of construction risks allowances to be used in budget purposes and cost of lost opportunity corresponding to missing integration level of the project |
