Abstract Pathological myopia is a common complication in high myopic patients .The pathology of these complication is mainly vascular changes in the retinal and choroidal tissues ,in addition to tissue stretching .It is important to study these vascular changes for predilection of its visual impacts .we used OCTA in studying theses vascular changes in high myopic patients.we comparing the macular and disc angiogram findings between our three groups. The most common complication observed at PM :chorioretinal atrophy , lacular cracks ,myopic CNV and macular scar. Our groups are classified in to 3 group :high myopic control without maculopathy ,high myopia with maculopathy in non smoker and high myopia with maculopathy smoker. We found no significant difference in peripapillary RNFL thickness and choroidal thickness between the groups. Also. Reduction in vessel density in both superfacial and deep plexus in all groups with more marked reduction in smoker group. In addition .we observed marked decrease in macular thickness and GCCl thickness in smoker patients than others, particularly at inferior GCCl.Other wise ,no significant difference in FAZ area between the groups. Finally ,the smokers are more liable to vascular complications in cases of PM than non smoker people. |
