Abstract The efficacy of some non-fumigant nematicides and an acaricide on the reproduction of Meloidogyne spp. on guava trees during two successive seasons of 2020&2021 5.1.1. impact of non-fumigant nematicides and an acaricide on the soil population density of Meloidogyne spp. on guava trees during two successive seasons of 2020&2021 The obtained results during the 1st season showed that fosthiazate and oxamyl were the most effective treatments which suppressed the soil population densities of Meloidogyne spp. by 88.69 and 83.59%, respectively. The rest treatments recorded reduction ranged from 78.46 to 58.91%. while, in the second season, oxamyl was most effective treatment with 73.10%. application of fosthiazate, abamectin EC (MIX) and abamectin EC recorded the least efficacy against soil population by 44.68, 40.05 and 37.71% reductions, consecutively. 5.1.2. Effect of non-fumigant nematicides and an acaricide on the root galls formation of Meloidogyne spp. on guava trees during two successive seasons of 2020&2021 Root galling was decreased significantly during the 1st season with abamectin SC (84.75%), abamectin EC (MIX) (80.54%) and fenamiphos (79.15%). Furthermore, oxamyl and abamectin EC were the least effective treatments which recorded values estimated by 46.31 and 20.80% reduction, consecutively. Besides, abamectin EC (MIX) and fenamiphos recorded the highest GMR of root galls by 78.64 and 71.99%, respectively, during the 2nd season. Oxamyl application gave the less GMR against root galls with 59.63%. |
