Abstract The master’s thesis contains all the information and results that have collected during the time of research, study and analysis, and is includes the following: Introduction: It is all previous studies on the composition of polyaniline and its chemical composition and methods of studied. In addition polyaniline derivatives, synthesis and characterization. The hazards present in environment in general and wastewater especially industrial wastewater were literature. The application properties of polyanilines in removal also given. A statement of how the elements are removed, and the introduction is supplemented by how to synthesize composite polymers, and how to extract them and also chemical composition, which will be the process of removing heavy metals from the waste water. The thesis also talks about industrial wastewater and its accompanying pollutants, whose role affects the environment, the presence of the heavy metals in industrial wastewater, the percentage of its presence and its impact on living organisms, how they reach the human body and their negative impact on the health of living organisms. Thesis talks about the element of mercury, sources and quality in industrial wastewater. Spectral is remove from industrial wastewater and removal conditions with the presence of some other elements. Also, the thesis includes the experimental techniques and methods of preparation of used polymeric materials. In addition, the tools of characterization were present. The obtained data and their interpretations are classified into 2 parts, part I about the removal of Hg(II) based on Poly (aniline-co-N-(2-hydroxyethyl) aniline as new synthetic copolymer. The obtained copolymer was characterize using IR, UV, TGA XRD and SEM. The efficiency of this copolymer as new adsorbent towards both Hg(II) and Se(IV) was investigated. The study reveals removal % of Hg(II) and Se(IV) equal to 90.9 and 61.1 which can be closed to 100% by increasing both time and copolymer quantity. |
