Abstract Doves had a great impact on the life of the ancient Egyptians. This study sheds light on this subject and it consists of five chapters: the first one includes first appearance of pigeons in ancient Egypt , and discusses the economic value, and the representation of doves on the walls of temples and tombs. While the second chapter , discusses the economic value, and the types of taxes, then the most important papyrus which dealt with dovecotes in Graeco Roman Egypt. |
