Abstract

26. Authors{u2019} Conclusions: 26.1 Implications for practice With the limitations of this study, the following were concluded: 1. It seems that the use of piezotome offers no advantages over the saw regarding inferior alveolar nerve neuro-sensory dysfunction. 2. Concerning blood loss, surgical duration, post-operative swelling and control of the device, no clear evidence showed the superiority of one osteotomy device over the other. 26.2 Implications for research 2. These trials should also report blood loss, osteotomy duration and post-operative swelling exclusively to sagittal split osteotomies
