Abstract This investigation was carried out for two successive seasons, (2011-2012 & 2012-2013), in a private orchard at Regwa in El Giza Governorate (desert road). Four years old Florida Prince peach trees budded on Nemagaurd rootstock were studied. Three thinning experiments were conducted as follows: the first experiment aims to reduce flower bud formation by using sprays with GA3 at three concentrations; 50, 100 and 200ppm in two timings (mid-July and mid-August) in addition to control hand thinning at 15cm, The second experiment aims to study the effect of some chemical blossom thinning treatments i.e. NAA, Urea, Dormex and CPPU as compared with hand thinning and the third experiment aims to study the impact of three cropping levels application at; 250, 300 and 350 fruits/tree. With respect to GA3 at 200ppm in mid-July increased bud contents of GA3, and decreased floral bud burst% and induced fruit quality attributes close to manual thinning. In addition chemical thinning blossom thinning results show enhancement of quality attributes due to using both Urea & NAA close to that of control. Although crop decreased by adjusting fruit load to 250 fruits/tree yet resulting fruits attained best quality attributly |
