Abstract The first two parts include fabrication of different electrochemical sensors based on gold nanoparticles / metalphthalocyanine modified carbon paste electrodes for determination of morphine and dobutamine in presence of ascorbic acid and uric acid; different metal phthalocyanines (Co, Ni, Cu and Fe) were used. Two components in the composites structure contribute to the faradaic signal at the interface of the electrode, conduction of Au-nanocenters and charge mediation through metal-phthalocyanine moieties. The proposed sensors exhibited excellent performance for the determination of drugs in human urine samples with satisfying recovery results. Furthermore the proposed sensors exhibited low detection limits, high reproducibility, enhanced sensitivity, selectivity and unique stability. The third part includes a simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of olanzapine through charge transfer complexation reaction using 2,6 dichloroquinone 4 chlorimide (DCQ) and 7, 7, 8, 8 tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) as s-acceptors to give highly colored complexes, absorbing maximally at 600 and 848 nm, respectively |
