Abstract This thesis is concerned with the development of simple and accurate methods for the determination of some phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitors in their pure and in pharmaceutical dosage forms. These drugs include avanafil, tadalafil and sildenafil. Three HPLC methods using spectrophotometric detector for the determination of avanafil, sildenafil and dapoxetine in ternary mixtures and the determination of sildenafil, dapoxetine and duloxetine or fluoxetine hydrochloride in ternary mixture and also the simultaneous determination of tadalafil, sildenafil, dapoxetine and duloxetine in quaternary mixture. Application of chemometric methods for the determination of five binary mixtures namely sildenafil/duloxetine, sildenafil/tadalafil, avanafil/dapoxetine, tadalafil/dapoxetine and sildenafil/ dapoxetine using CLS, PCR and PLS chemometric methods. Application of artificial Neural Network technique for the simultaneous determination of sildenafil and dapoxetine in binary mixture. The proposed methods were validated and statistically compared with reference methods where no significant difference was found |
