Abstract This work is devoted to electrochemical studies using AISI 316Lstainless steel in aqueous humor without or with different concentrations of Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride drug and/or glucose, with immersion time for 7 days. The aim is to characterize and obtain a fundamental understanding of the corrosion behavior of this alloy as eye gluacoma shunt. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and potentiodynamic polarization measurements were used to estimate the corrosion performance of 316 L stainless steel alloy in aqueous humor and/or glucose solution with immersion time. The experimental data was confirmed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy dispersive X-Ray analysis (EDX) techniques and antibacterial Activity |
