Abstract This study integrates the recent experimental findings and explains the functional roles of small conductance potassium (SK) channels and the L-type calcium channels besides investigating their punctate pattern distributions over the motoneuron dendritic tree. it includes the modeling of the warm-up property for the L-type calcium channels and revised SK channels kinetic models to match the calcium ion concentrations sensitivity of the experimental behaviors. The results show that the punctate pattern distributions provide a functional advantage for enhancing the synaptic currents in Ü-motoneurons |
