Abstract This study was done to evaluate the linear and angular deviation between the virtual and the actual implant positions for implants inserted using single drill versus full sequence tissue-supported computer aided surgical guide. The sample of this study consisted of fifteen patients randomly selected from outpatient clinic of prosthodontic department, faculty of oral and dental medicine, Cairo university. All patients were completely edentulous, cooperative and with adequate interarch space. Preoperative CBCT was taken while the patients wearing the radiographic stent with three equally distributed radiographic markers. The preoperative CBCT was used for dental implants planning and formation of the surgical stent. During the surgery one side of the dental arch received two implants with full sequence guided approach, while the other side received another two implants with pilot drill guided approach. Through one week after surgery, the second CBCT was taken for all patients while the patients wearing the same preoperative radiographic stent |
