Abstract The present study demonstrated that treatment with ascorbate and various bacterial inoculations increased significantly all growth parameters as well as the activities of the antioxidant enzymes resulting in the increment of total nitrogen content of shoot which was reflected as increased growth of both root and shoot systems and leading to the increment in yield components. Guaiacol peroxidase enzyme was purified and characterized from the nodules and leaves of lupine plants treated with 0.5 mM ASC and Bradyrhizobium + Pseudomonas at 75 days after planting. It was pronounced that nodule possess one guaiacol peroxidase enzyme and also leaf possess one guaiacol peroxidase enzyme which differs in its characteristics from the nodule guaiacol peroxidase enzyme |
