Abstract Reverse micro-emulsion, precipitation and milling methods are considered to prepare the two nano-alumina phases, nano rare earth oxides and the nano composite consisted of both of them with different ratios respectively. Complete study of the structure, particle size, particle morphology and surface area measurements were carried for all the prepared samples using XRD, FESEM, TEM, AFM and BET tools. Electric and magnetic studies clarified distinguished properties of the nanocomposites. The optimum conditions to remove toxic metal (Pb²⁺) from water were deduced. It was obtained that, the removal efficiency of xSm₂O₃/ (100-x) Þ- Al₂O₃; x=16 weight percentage is 99.3% after 24th. This is an economic result in the environmental field |
