Abstract

ACL is the most commonly injured ligament in the knee. The autograft or allograft arthroscopic single-bundle (SB) is the 2gold standard3 technique for Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction (ACLR). Our study compared two ways to do this technique, one is through an accessory anteromedial portal 2AAMT3 and the other is through modified transtibial technique 2MTTT3. MATERIALS & METHODS: Our 60 active adult patients with isolated injury to ACL were grouped into two equal groups each of them treated surgically. One group treated using the anatomic anteromedial technique 2AAMT3 and the other group through modified transtibial technique 2MTTT3. Both groups had same postoperative course and follow up for one year from surgery. The follow up was done using subjective scoring systems 2 lysholm & IKDC subjective knee evaluation form3, objective examination 2IKDC knee examination form3, and radiological evaluation. The results of both groups were evaluated and compared to each other
