In order to evaluate the antibacterial effect of silver and gold nanoparticles on different endodontic bacterial strains (S. mutans, S. aureus and L. acidophilic bacteria) with or without diode laser irradiation, Using silver nanoparticles in combination with diode laser irradiation reduced the bacterial numbers in the infected root canal more than gold nanoparticles in combination with diode laser followed by silver nanoparticles alone or diode laser alone or gold nanoparticles alone respectively
