Abstract This thesis propose was to investigate the manufacturing of green concrete via using polycar boxylate ether polymer. Results had shown a reduction for both water and cement quantities by 37.5% at fixed water to cement ratio at 55%. Statistically, the carbon dioxide emissions had reduced by 31.5% (119 kg) due to usages of other concrete constitutions with less energy usages during it production cycle. Several other added benefits had observed such as density reduction from 2.44 to 2.35 g.cm-3. Also, both setting time and initial flowability had enhanced by 80% and 33% in orders at 25°C. Allowing easy concrete placing handling without vibration as it compacted spontaneously at fresh concrete age. Moreover, the mechanical behavior had improved, where measurements of the overall compressive strength after 7 days was +18.8%, (from 21.2 to 25.2 MPa) while after 28 days was +7.1% (from 28.0 to 30.0 MPa) at hardened phase. |
