Abstract This research aims to study the relationship between the 7S Model and its dimensions (separation, sorting, shine, standardize, sustain, safety, and security) and the operational performance of textile companies in Egypt, including quality improvement, cost reduction, on-time delivery, and flexibility. The objectives of the research are to investigate whether the implementation of 7S practices can improve operational performance, examine the reliance of textile firms on 7S to enhance the working environment, and explore how the 7S Model can affect each dimension of operational performance. Problem: The research reveals that textile companies face several challenges such as increasing production costs, outdated quality management, inefficient operational systems, different types of waste, and the inability to offer fashionable and customized products. Additionally, the study highlights the presence of unsafe and unhealthy work environments that can lead to harm. Methodology: The researcher used a descriptive analytical approach in this research, The researcher conducted a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with three sections, to measure the relationship between the independent variable (7S Model) and the dependent variable (operational performance) in Egyptian textile companies. The survey was distributed to different managerial levels in various departments, and a total of 137 questionnaires were analyzed to achieve the research objectives. Research Findings: The first hypothesis and its sub hypotheses are accepted: ”There is a significant effect of 7S practices on the improvement of operational performance in textile companies under study.” The second hypothesis and its sub hypotheses are also accepted: ”There is a significant effect of the 7S model on operational performance dimensions in textile companies under study.” Value: This research contributes to the scarce empirical literature analyzing the 7S Model with its dimensions and the dependent variable operational performance with its dimensions and examines the relationship between them in the textile sector in Egypt. Keywords: 7S Model, Workplace organization, Operational Performance, Quality, Costs, Flexibility, on-time delivery, Safety, Security. |
