Abstract Hemodialysis (HD) is a temporary treatment for patients who are candidates for kidney transplantation and a permanent treatment for the ESRD patients with no chance for kidney transplantation. Vascular access dysfunction is an important cause for morbidity in dialysis patients and a major contributor to dialysis cost. The purpose of our study was to test the ability of DUS examination in early detection of the complications in group I patients, detection of maturation in group II patients before their first session of dialysis and most importantly to establish a routine check-up of vascular accesses at radiology department in assuit university hospitals. |
