Abstract Aim of the study: The present study was carried out to compare the healing outcomes around immediately placed implants in fresh extraction sockets using either Xenograft or DFDBA (demineralized freeze dried bone allograft) as bone augmentation materials with guided bone regeneration barriers. Results: All the 20 two-piece implants were successfully osseointegrated as revealed by clinical and radiographic examination with no statistically significant differences between the two groups. Conclusions: Immediate post extraction implant placement in fresh extraction socket using either DFDBA or Xenograft as bone augmentation materials together with a collagen barrier were highly successful treatment modalities without any significant difference between them. |
