Abstract There is strong relation between project management, cost reduction generally and value engineering concepts especially and hotel industry represented in standard room as a basic cell in any hotel project in optimizing the value and cost of the building during its life cycle time. The research aims to defining the architecture parameters that achieve the integration of value engineering and Life cycle costing in the design phase of 5 stars hotel standard room as a basic cell of the whole building. The research discusses the Hotel standard room from a perspective illustrating the design criteria, governmental requirements and operator standards. Then studying project management as a tool to optimize the standard room cost and quality defining the main elements PM controlled, focused on cost and study the different methodologies affects on project cost |
