Abstract Background: Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are heterogeneous group represent about1% from cancer .Diagnosis depends totally on biopsy obtained from the lesion for histological and molecular study. Magnetic resonant image and computed tomography. Surgery is the cornerstone in treatment of STS. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy play a major role in the management. Objectives: The aim of this work is to Study the clinicoepidemiologic aspects and management of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in NEMROCK over the last 10 years. Results: Liposarcoma and synovial sarcoma were the commonest subtype in this study. Median Overall Survival was 19 months and the Median disease free survival was 18 month. CONCLUSION: The treatment outcomes regarding OS and DFS are greatly influenced by the tumour grade, margin status, and presence of metastasis. |
