Abstract In goat flocks, respiratory diseases may be encountered affecting individuals or groups, resulting in poor live weight gain and high rate of mortality. Respiratory diseases of small ruminants are multifactorial and there are multiple etiological agents responsible for the respiratory disease complex. Clinical diagnosis of pneumonia requires physical examination, imaging, serology and identification of the etiological agent. However, these attempts should be complemented with postmortem examination of the lungs either at necropsy or slaughter for accurate diagnosis. For that purpose. |
