المستخلص The study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a program based on mental alertness in reducing future anxiety and improving academic advancement among university students, and the study sample reached (20) Helwan University students distributed to two groups, one experimental consisting of (10) students, and the second control consisting of (10) students, and their ages ranged between (19-20) years, as the average age (221.70) with a standard deviation (3.30), and the study used the semi-experimental approach to achieve the objectives of the study, applied to them the scale of future anxiety (prepared by Zainab Mahmoud Choucair, 2005), the Academic Advancement Scale prepared by Amal Abdel Mohsen Al-Zoghbi (2018), and the program based on mental alertness (prepared by the researcher),After analyzing the results using the statistical packages program (SPSS), the results of the current study revealed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the average ranks of the experimental and control group scores on the future anxiety scale and the academic advancement scale after the application of the program, and the results of the study indicated that there are no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the experimental group scores in the dimensional and tracking measurements on the future anxiety scale and the academic advancement scale (dimensions and total score). In light of the current research procedures and previous studies, the researcher’s findings and interpretation, and the difficulties she faced during the application, she proposes some special recommendations, namely: - Help students solve their psychological and social problems to be more accomplished. - Applying the subject of study to a larger sample of students who are about to graduate. |
