Abstract
Reviewing the current literature, the active constituents and biological activities of Marrubium alysson L. aerial parts are not enough to cover the expected medicinal value of the titled plant. So, in the present study we aimed to isolate and identify the bioactive compounds present in the aerial parts of Marrubium alysson L., as well as to test their biological activities. Therefore, the present study includes: Part I: Phytochemical investigation of the aerial parts of Marrubium alysson L. and structure elucidation of the isolated compounds. Chapter 1: Isolation of compounds from the aerial parts of Marrubium alysson L. Chapter 2: Identification of the isolated compounds from the aerial parts of Marrubium alysson L. Chapter 3: Total phenolics and Total flavonoids determination assays Part II: Biological study of the methanolic extract, fractions and the isolated compounds from Marrubium alysson L. I-Anti- SARS-COV-2 activity (main protease (M pro) inhibitory activity) II-Antioxidant Activity (ABTS assay) Part III: Molecular docking study and evaluation of pharmacokinetics of the isolated compounds.
