Abstract Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder marked by an ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning and considered inappropriate for the developmental stage. ADHD is associated with high rate of comorbid disorders. In clinical practice, presence of comorbidities may mask the core symptoms of ADHD thereby making the diagnosis more difficult. Comorbid conditions not only affect the clinical presentation but also complicate the choice of the appropriate treatment strategy for the patient. |
