Abstract A series of some novel bioactive polycyclic compounds formed of 3-methyl-1,4-diphenyl-1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole fused with 1,2-azaphosphole and 1,3,2-diazaphosphinines or beard phosphonate moieties in one molecular frame have been established. The methodology based on treating 6-amino-3-methyl-1,4-diphenyl-1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole-5-carbonitrile (3) with some phosphorus reagents such as phosphorus esters, phosphorus sulfides and phosphorus halides. The structures of all products were confirmed by spectral tools and elemental analysis. All the synthesized compounds were screened in vitro for their antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. Moreover, most of synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antiproliferative activity in which products 5, 12, 15 can be considered as potent anticancer agents in comparison with Doxorubicin as a standard drug. Keywords: pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole, 1,2-azaphosphole, 1,3,2-diazaphosphinines, phosphorus halides, phosphonate, antimicrobial, antioxidant. |
