Abstract Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent degenerative condition in which functional impairment is caused by mechanical and chemical stress against the joint, resulting in pain and decreased range of motion (ROM). Worldwide prevalence of symptomatic knee OA has estimated 3.8%. It affects more than 20% of over 45-year-old population, Radiologic evidence suggestive of knee OA is seen in approximately 43% of the 50–60 years-old, loss of jobs, early retirement, and arthroplasty are among the detrimental effects of this disease on individual quality of life and development of societies. |
