Abstract This study was conducted study the chemical composition, some active compounds such as total phenols, total flavonoids, and antioxidant activity. Also, identification of the phenolic compounds in avocado fruit using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Examine the effect of some avocado treatments on decreasing the fats already present in obese rats. A study on non-fat formation in rats fed avocado together with other meals. Study the effect of avocado on high protein diets. Evaluate the effects of avocados in rats fed a high-fat basil diet. Evaluate the effects of avocados in rats fed on carbohydrates diets. Also, some physiological characteristics such as BWG, FI, FER & internal organs weight) and some biochemical characteristics (liver functions, kidney functions, cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-c, LDL-c, VLDL, and AI) and blood parameters (RBC, WBC, hemoglobin & platelet) in tested albino rats were also measured. Obesity was inducing in normal healthy male albino rats by fed on high fat diet (20% animal lipid) supplemented in the basal diet and used as a positive control group. Forty-eight adult male white albino rats, Sprague Dawley Strain, 10 weeks age, weighing (140±10g) were used in this experiment. All rats were fed on basal diet prepared for 7 consecutive days. After this adaptation period, rats are divided into 6 groups, each group which consists of 6 rats as follows: group (1): Rats fed on basal diet as a control negative. |
