Abstract One of the most prevalent long-term issues that might arise after cataract surgery is posterior capsule opacification. After two years after cataract surgery, the frequency of postoperative complications was 20.7%, and after five years, it rose to 28.5%. After analysing 100 eyes that were split into two groups based on the time that passed between cataract surgery and the Nd:YAG laser posterior capsulotomy, we found that patients with PCO who had previously undergone cataract extraction and IOL implantation showed a marked improvement in visual acuity BCVA following the procedure. After a YAG laser capsulotomy, the refractive sphere decreases significantly and the refractive cylinder increases significantly; yet, after two weeks, neither the cylinder’s axis nor its spherical counterpart undergo any notable changes. |
