Improved therapeutic effectiveness of MB can be ensured through the formulation of customized drug delivery system that essentially considers the chronobiology of OAB syndrome (disease-customized) as well as the affected elder population (geriatric-oriented). Delivery of drugs through the oral route can be even more convenient for the elder patient susceptible for swallowing difficulties through the concept of fast disintegrating Orodispersible tablets that were recently developed to deliver a modified release systems of drugs besides the immediately released one in the buccal cavity, allowing for the application of pulsatile release technology that permits the application of smart disease-oriented chronotherapeutic delivery systems. |
