Abstract The most typical material for creating removable complete dentures is heat-cured acrylic resin. Numerous studies have been conducted as a result of current developments in science and technology to enhance not only physical properties but also Modifiers like zirconium oxide and silica dioxide nanofillers, which have a significant impact on the physical and mechanical properties of PMMA polymer, are added to modify not only the mechanical properties but also the working properties. This study was carried out to know which type of fillers show less tooth movement, and better adaptation of maxillary heat cured acrylic dentures before and after thermocycling process . Twenty maxillary waxed-up dentures were made, then divided into two equal groups: the first group is a ten dentures reinforced by 5% zircon oxide nanoparticles by wight and the second group is a ten dentures reinforced by 5% silica dioxide nanoparticles by weight . The changes in teeth movements and denture base adaptation were measured before and after thermocycling by Geomagic control x software (software for 3D coordinate measuring technology) ,The means of changes were collected, tabulated and statistically analyzed. Data analyses were carried out using computer software Statistical Package for Social Science SPSS (IBMSPSS ver. 29.0 for Mac OS). |
