Abstract PV production, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each of these programs and analyzing the study area in terms of the rate of production of electric power per square meter m flat cells on the university surfaces and the appropriate places for the installation of PV panels and the amounts of electric power produced at Pharos University and their economic and environmental returns as well as calculating electricity consumption bills for a period from 2015 to 2019 and assessing the extent of savings by using PV cells. This chapter includes all data as electric bills, rooftop area, geographical data, solar density, and PV sizing software with input and output data. 3.2. Research work procedure 1- Knowing the electric power consumption and its cost through previous bills. 2- Study the available alternative energy methods in the region and their economic and environmental impact and compare them. 3- Conducting studies for the university buildings and determining the areas that can be used to install the PV modules. 4- An economic feasibility study is carried out to measure the financial return of the university from the use of PV technology using programs Microsoft office. 5- Using specialized programs in PV calculations to determine the size and capacity of the units to be installed and to compare between the various programs and determine the most appropriate ones for application in the case of the study It is one of the most accurate and widely used programs worldwide |
