المستخلص The aim of the current research is to identify Self-regulation as a modified variable for the relationship between depression and life satisfaction in a sample of divorced women. The research also examines the differences in self-regulation, depression, and life satisfaction among divorced women based on variables such as age – younger or older, duration of divorce - shorter or longer, and the interaction between these factors. The study sample consists of 250 divorced women from Cairo Governorate, who were assessed using Beck’s Depression Inventory (Arabic version by Gharib Abdel Fattah Gharib), the Life Satisfaction Scale (Magdy El-Desouky), and the Self-Regulation Scale (Fawkia Hassan Redwan). The findings revealed that there is a statistically significant effect of self-regulation as a moderating variable on the relationship between depression and life satisfaction among divorced women. Additionally, there is a negative correlation between depression and both self-regulation and life satisfaction, and a positive correlation between self-regulation and life satisfaction among divorced women. |
