Abstract
Child psychiatrists are interested in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of neuro-psychiatric and developmental disorders as well as behavior disturbances during childhood and adolescence. ASD diagnosis is a challenge in the past and present so many tools were made to help in early screening & diagnosis of ASD as early interventions have positive impact on patients and their families. There are many types of instruments used to measure psychiatric disorders in community surveys: checklists, highly structured interviews, and semi structured interviews & scales. Certain properties are required for a scale to be adequate and useful. These properties include practicality, sensitivity to change, variability, and interpretability. Reliability and validity are important properties that should be present in any scale.
