Abstract
The major concern of this study is to throw lights on the surface soil seed and surface soil pollen in relation to the current vegetation which reflects the picture of the current vegetation in the Nile Delta (Baltim area).Abelt transect (2x2km)had constructed from the Lake Burullus toward the sea crossing four main habitats : reed swamps, salt marshes, sand dunes and cultivated land. The plant life of each habitat has been studied.
