Abstract The energy distribution of hot electrons in n - type germanium, containing gold impurities at low temperatures T = 77K and T = 4K, is studied taking into account the elastic scattering of electrons by both acoustical phonons and ionized impurities. The solutions of the Boltzmann’s transport equation, in the presence of an external homogeneous electric field, are found for an arbitrary ratio between the intensities of electron - phonon and electron - impurity interactions. |
