Abstract Periapical and panoramic radiograph and probing techniques are used in clinical study to assess crestal alveolar bone loss. All together sixty nine (69) sites of fifteen patients €re examined. Periapical radiographs were taken with using crc cone paralleling technique. Panorama were taken with sng rotatory panoramic machine. All patients with age ranged from thirty to fourty five (30- years were having a diagnosis of moderate to sever :enodontitis. Patients received initial hygienic phase therapy rduding scaling and root planning, oral hygiene instructions and r7ination of plaque retension factors. The treatment plan was ruB thickness flap to all diseased areas Radiographic measurements and clinical measurements by periodontal probe were made before and during surgery. Radiographic (periapical and panorama) measurements were made by measuring the distance from cemento enamel junction to the alveolar crest both mesially and distally to each tooth in the areas in which surgery was to be done. Clinical measurements with periodontal probe were also made on each mesial and distal interproximal surface of teeth to be treated surgically by measuring the distance from cemento enamel junction to the base of the pocket. |
