Abstract The present work is a study of the fundus changes by fluore.soein fundus angiography in cases of pregnancy toxaemias. Reviewing the literature since (1910), it was found that manyauthers studied the fundus pictures of pregnancy toxaemias. The only fluorescein angiograms reported in the literature, to our knowledge, are by Gitter et al, 1968; Shikano and Shimizu, 1968; Kenny, 1972 and Beller, 1976. In our work, 133 patients with pregnanoy toxaemias were examined, together with 7 cases of normal pregnancy as a oontrol group. All patients were examined in the same period of gestation. The material was oollected from the Obstetric Department, Mansourah University over a period of three years. The patients were grouped as follows : Group 1 (117 patients): Aoute toxaemia of pregnancy (pre-eclampsia and eclampsia) Group 11 (16 patients): Systemic disorder with super¬imposed pre-eclampsia or eclampsia.
