Abstract Viral hepatitis is a disease of m4jor significance in the world today. This is not only due to its morbidity and mortality resulting from acute and chronic illness, but also due to the fact that its places an enormous demonds on economic & medical resources (Hoofangles, 1989). This study was a tried to evaluate the hematological changes which occur in patients with viral hepatitis, especially the B & C types. It aimed to identify the changes which occur in blood parameters at different s ages of the disease. In order to acheive this study, the researcher surveyed 190 subject suffering viral hepatitis B & C, in addition to 15 normal persons taken as control group The 190 cases were classified into 4 groups: Group I acute hepatitis B (I 8 cases). Group 11 chronic hepatitis B (28 cases). Group III H.C.V. (132 cases). Group IV combined B & C (12 cases). Both the 190 cases and control group were subjected to the following: hepatitis markers, liver function testes,, Qompelete blood picture, hemostatic profiles includes platelets count, bleeing time,, clotting time, prothrombin activity, MRV., serum iron, TIBC, serum ferritin and acute phase reactant: ESR & CRP- |
