Abstract Chronic, active hepatitis is a chronic inflammation of the liver lasting without improvement for more than 6 months and is associated with different autoimmune manifestation. HLA play an important role in predisposing patients to disease development. So, we planed this study to evaluate the relation, and frequency of different HLA-DRB1 alleles in patients with chronic active hepatitis and asses any possible correlation between these alleles and the disease. So, we assessed 30 patients with chronic active hepatitis and 15 normal control group. Each subject were subjected to: I - History taking. 2- HLA-DRB I typing by reversed hybridization technique. 3- Detection of SSA and SSB antibodies by ELISA. 4- Detection of ANA, ASMA and AMA by immunofluorescent technique. |
