Abstract
There is no doubt that chronic or recurrent acute infections of the post-operativ* mastoid cavity are important causes of morbidity following radical mast- oidectomy operatioA* The aim of this work is to search for the causes of pervistance of a wet radical mastoid cavity, where there are operative defectes post-operative faults or combined. This study was carried but on 52 patients suffering from persistant discharge after radical mastoidec- tomy operatioAq selected from the outpatient clinic of the Otorhinolaryngology Department of Mansours, University Hospital. All selected cases were subjected to clinical, laboratory and radiological studiess but only 24 oases were surgically explored.
