Abstract The present work included 15 male patients presented wi th clinical and laboratory criteria of chronic renal failure, and 8 normal control subjects; All patient, had chronic renal failure due to primary renal disease 0 Those with renal disease secondary to cardiac, hepatio and pulmonary diseases were excluded 0 Diabetic patients are not influded in the present work 0 To all patients urine analysis was done, those with pyuria are excluded 0 Serum and urinary FDP, FDP clearanoe, FDP excretion per day, serum creatinine, urinary creatinine and creatinine clearance values were determined to all patients as well as the control SUbjects 0 chronic renal failure patients revealed a signi¬ficant rise of serum and urinary FDP with increase in the, amount of FDP in urine excreted daily, significant increase in FDP clearance and a reduction in creatinine clearance 0 However, there is no significant change in urinary FDP & FDP clearance between those with se~um ore¬atinine more and those with serum creatinine less than 10 mg%. Thus urinary FDP determination do not differ according to the degree of renal impairment 0 |
